Good MORNING!!!! It is Tuesday! and it has been a very very long weekend for this fashionista. A few friends and I made the 6 hour trek from Cincinnati to Manchester, Tennessee for a music festival known as Bonnaroo. Now. If ya'll haven't been to Tennessee in the middle of June, it is one toasty state. We were out in it all weekend sittin in the sun, vibin, dancing, and singing.
One of the fun things about festivals is all of the outfits. Everyone feels very comfortable with themselves and uses it as an excuse to wear their most expressive outfits that they may not be able to typically wear. I, naturally, took part.
So. Let me show you the fits.
Thursday June 15th:
Full disclosure, I have no pictures from this day because the outfit was quite frankly very boring. We did not even plan on attending on Thursday as we all had to drive down after work. I simply wore a black tank top and black biker shorts with the bonnaroo issued fanny pack. So use your imagination here.
Friday June 16
This was what I thought would be a great outfit that I think actually ended up being my least favorite. I got this mesh shirt from a local thrift store with the black swimsuit bottoms. The tank top and bandana I actually already had from so long ago I'm not sure where I got them. I pinned the skirt up in a way where it didnt get caught in the grass or the feet of my fellow Bonnaroovians. I was definitely cool enough, but something about the way the skirt fell did not look as cute as I wanted it to. I also braided my hair to keep it off my shoulders. This was a common theme through the weekend as the sweat would pretty much act as glue for my hair to my armpits.
Saturday June 17
This was my absolute FAVORITE outfit. It actually was supposed to be something different. I had ordered the most beautiful black mesh pants that came with a black swimsuit. The pants had gorgeous purple butterfly appliques sewn all over it and I was going to wear it with the swimsuit and a purple cowgirl hat. However, I accidentally sent the pants to my old address and had to emergency order this cute little white fringe skirt that I wore with a purple tank I had gotten from the thrift store, purple swimsuit bottoms I already had, and a purple cowgirl hat. I felt so adorable. Every dance move done was accentuated by the fringe on the skirt. I just felt adorable. I can't describe it :)
Sunday June 18
Needless to say none of my outfits went to plan. I was supposed to wear a holographic skirt this day with a purple bikini top with a purple mesh long sleeve cover. I woke up, put it on, and hated it. However, my friend had gotten me a purple dress for my birthday. So for funsies, I put it on with the sparkly purple mesh and LOVED it. I THEN was gifted a light up purple tamborine while at the festival that just made it a trillion times better.
